Blockchain in UK: This Week’s Overview

LMAX Has Launched Crypto Trading

May 21 – Trading platform LMAX entered the cryptocurrency market after it has launched crypto trading due to the growing institutional interest. The aim is to “further legitimize market” offering institutions a secure crypto platform. Access will only be provided to most liquid crypto assets (BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP and BCH).

 

Revolut Has Added XRP and Bitcoin Cash

May 24 – London-based digital banking alternative Revolut added services for XRP and Bitcoin Cash. Operations with newly joined currencies are available from Revolut’s app.

 

Former Visa UK CEO Joined Crypterium

The former CEO of Visa UK Marc O'Brien has become the CEO of a cryptocurrency startup which aims at enabling crypto payments for everyone on the everyday basis. The startup Crypterium has already raised $52 million through ICO.

 

London Mosque Accepts Donations in Bitcoin

The Shacklewell Lane Mosque in London has started to accept donations in Bitcoin. The Mosque has partnered with local Blockchain startup Combo Innovation and has created a Bitcoin and Ethereum wallet after the decision that cryptocurrency can be used by Muslims.
