A cryptocurrency investment platform for British funds is to be launched for the first time

The UK will be a place where the first crypto exchange LMAX Digital allowing funds and organizations to invest in highly liquid cryptocurrencies will appear.

According to its developer LMAX Exchange Group, investors will first have a chance to park money in 5 cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple.

CEO at the platform David Mercer comments that institutional investment in cryptocurrency would bring changes to the entire industry. Moreover, the crypto market would enter the mainstream granting organizations a possibility to store and conduct transactions with crypto assets safely.

As a hub of the exchange’s operations, London will host the servers of the trading platform.

Transactions with the value of $10 tn have been run on LMAX Exchange within 8 years. The company’s ambition is to establish offices in Tokyo and New York to facilitate customer service.

David Mercer noted that a new platform is aimed to combine the company’s previous experience of working in the institutional market of foreign currencies and proven trading technologies.
